Here you can find up-to-date information about Darren Miller’squest to complete the Ocean’s Seven and his fundraising goals for the Forever Fund at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.
Since the creation of the Forever Fund in December of 2009, Darren has helped fundraise over $35,000 for the Forever Fund, and the Heart Center at the hospital. The fund was co-created with Darren’s close friend Cathy Cartieri-Mehl and is dedicated to the honor of Cathy’s father, Anthony Frank Cartieri. This vital funding assists the needy families of the infant cardiothoracic ward, and helps keep the family structure together during their time of need! It is Darren’s belief that we are all given gifts in life and should do our best to never take them for granted. His personal motto, “Every Breath A Gift”, is about living life to the best of our ability, and never forgetting that our lives could be much more difficult! Team Forever is a recently established 501(c)3 IRS non-profit organization, which is the fundraising arm for the Forever Fund. 100% of EVERY DONATION through the Team Forever website goes back to those who need it the most!
The Ocean’s Seven is a open water swimming challenge issued to the world, and has yet to be accomplished! Due to the full-sponsorship Darren receives throughTrustmont Financial Group, he is able to travel the world to pursue his goal of becoming the first person to complete the challenge! He is also supported, and relies on East Suburban Sports Medicine Center to assist when he is in need of personal physical therapy! His fundraising goal of $100,000 USD by the completion of the Ocean’s Seven is a mountain to overcome, however, he is confident that all things are possible through the grace of God!
