As the Forever Fund approaches it’s 2ND BIRTHDAY (December 2009) I cannot help but to reflect on the AMAZING journey I’ve had since signing up for the English Channel in September 2009. Since then, marathon swimming has taken me to New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, Florida, Colorado, California, Hawaii, England and France. With destinations planned to New York, Florida, Japan, Spain and Morocco in 2012, I can’t help but to be so thankful for how BLESSED I am to be able to do what I love to help raise over $25,000 (close to $40,000 with the 5-K Open Water Challenge for the Heart Center) money for children. As a IRS-recognized non-profit, Team Forever donates 100% OF ALL DONATIONS back to the Forever Fund a the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh!

Some GREAT marketing strategies are in the making for this year, and I hope we can accomplish them all in the name of continuing to push the fund-raising bar! Swimming has given me a life-long love, and respect for the water, and it is simply incredible what it has allowed me to achieve. I have met so many AWESOME people since getting into this sport, and I look forward to continuing our friendship well into the future! Rest assured, if you ever need someone to help you out in a race, I will do everything I can to get there for you! This sport really brings together a tremendous group of people, and I just wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone who has embraced me as a friend!
